Food
    The mourning dove is a common sight at bird feeders.  It looks for fallen seed and will also take seed from trays and hopper feeders.  Eats weed, grass, grain seeds, and some insects.  Favorite food at feeders is white millet and safflower.

Habitat
    Prefers open spaces including suburban areas.
