Food
    Is particularly fond of wood-boring insects.  Can be coaxed to bird feeders offering sunflower seeds and suet.  Suet is the quickest way to attract them.

Habitat
    Found in woods, farmland, and suburbs.  An area with snags is attractive for the building of their nests.
