Food
Looks for food on the ground, eating weed and grass
seeds. Can be attracted to ground feeders supplied with white
millet.
Habitat
In the summer it is found in the woods, along wood
edges, in bogs, and in the mountains above tree level. In the
winter
months it is drawn out to the wood edges, and in brush areas.
