Directions for restringing LMRs: http://www.argomo.com/lmr.htm I personally prefer cord for restringing because I think it has a longer life & is less likely to stretch out - I make a square knot at the top which is inside the head after the head is put back on. Others prefer the rubber bands which are truer to the original design of the dolls. Either way, I recommend that LMRs be restrung if they haven't already been - you don't want to have your doll coming apart at an inopportune moment, such as just before entering her in competition (which happened to someone I knew). Original bands, even if they look sturdy, can break suddenly without warning.
