Max fell on Sunday, March 28th at 3:00pm. He lost 95% use of his right leg and 100% use of his left leg by 6:30pm, that evening. We admitted him into the University of Minnesota's Small Animal Hospital. A review was done on Monday morning by Dr. McVey, a Neurologist. It was determined that surgery would be necessary to allow Max the best chance at a full recovery.
On Tuesday, he had back surgery where they found he had a ruptured disc. They removed the disc material that was pressing against his spinal cord and a portion of one of his vertebra.
On Wednesday, we brought him home. Amazingly, he was walking almost as good 24 hours after surgery as he was Monday night, before surgery. He wasn't prescribed any pain killers.

Here are a few pictures

Monday night, IV catheter in right leg.

Wednesday night, 10 minutes after coming home.

Wednesday night, close-up of the 4 inch incision.
