(130) 7/13/03 - Standing down by the septic tank and near the new location of the electric fence gate....

(129) This is the new firing line! It's flat and now, grass! You can also see the bird feeders hung from the porch soffit.

(128) This is our new fire pit. The inside of the circle is about 6-1/2 feet. We should be able to have some decent fires in this!

(127) The entire north section.

(126) The east half of the north section of sod.

(125) The west half of the north section of sod.

(124) This is the north section of sod. You can see the NW proch stairs and a row of rocks that make up the firepit in the distance. We put sod all the way up to the electric fence (you can see the blue poles in the distance).

(123) 7/13/03 - This is looking at the house from the southeast. The sod starts at the driveway in the front (west) and wraps all the way around the north, east, and part of the south up to the garage apron.

(122) This is what it looks like at 4:30pm on Monday 2/3/03! Wow! 5 more weeks!

(121) Matt is caulking around the windows. His jacket is soaking wet from working under the edge of the roof while putting up the siding.

(120) Gary & Matt are cutting a piece of siding.

(119) John is covering up a drywall patch getting it ready for the final coat of paint.

(118) After the primer is sprayed on the walls, it is rolled.

(117) Toni (our first female worker on the job) is spraying on the primer.

(116) Bruce is putting together our insulated garage doors.

(115) After the mudd dries a little, it is knocked down.

(114) Mudd is spray in blobs onto the ceiling for a textured ceiling finish.

(113) Firetape is used in the garage.

(112) The ceilings are primed for the knockdown finish.

(111) All of the places with mudd are sanded smooth. After the sanding, we used a dry mop to wipe off the dust. Then we vacuumed all the dust off every square inch of the floor!

(110) This is what the walls look like after the mudding is complete.

(109) This tool is used to push the tape in place in the creases.

(108) This tool is used to apply the tape which is covered in mudd.

(107) The blown in cellulose insulation can be seen here in the basement walls.

(106) This water reserve tank is now in the new house and continues to supply our mobile home with water.

(105) The water pipe is now connecting the well to BOTH the new house and the mobile home.

(104) Unfortunately, we had to do the final digging after there was already 18" of frost.

(103) 11/20 - Most of the framing of the garage walls is completed.

(102) 11/19 - From the inside, the roof trusses look like a maze.

(101) 11/19 - All of the house roof trusses have been installed. This place is really starting to look like a house!

(97) 11/18 - A crane had to be rented to hoist the house roof trusses onto the second floor. This is the east gable end truss. Photo by Gary Duden

(96) 11/15 - These trusses were modified so the TV/Fireplace area can be the full 9 feet height of the first floor walls.

(95) 11/14 - Gary is installing the wall for the tub/shower unit in the 2nd floor guest bath.

(94) 11/14 - View of the south and west exterior walls.

(93) 11/13 - Pole detail, come-along and bracket that is attached to the top of the wall while it's being raised.

(92) 11/13 - Gary is taking down the telescoping poles used to raise the exterior walls.

(91) 11/13 - Matt is assembling the 2nd floor east wall.
