Hyperlinks - The Essence Of The Web Page

Navigation, using "hyperlinks" between web pages, other locations on the same page, and other web sites is one of the most expansive attributes of web documents. Many new word processing applications are even incorporating this stunning "hyperlink" device. Being able to "double-click" an "underlined" element and have a new reference appear on the screen, has made the regular "printed" page seem almost obsolete. References can easily be accessed whether they are just another location on the same web page, another web page on the same site, or some reference in a library that may be "halfway around the world". Regular web site users understand a "new standard" that people not familiar with the web cannot comprehend.
