Share your ideas, read what others think, be silly, be brilliant, be a "lurker" (it is OK to join an just watch/listen), send a "departmental message", send email to many users while using only one address. Find out what this is all about. Use your email ("Electronic Paper") in another way!
There are many discussion lists that one can join on the internet but this web page is devoted to the Harding High School system.
I am a member of two professional discussion list (my area is choral music and handbells) - the Choralist and the Handbell-L. With good search technics, one can locate professional discussions in any area.

From list manager:
Email Discussion List can be "open" for anything. One can submit "silly" messages, "practice" messages, shared "bits of humor", opinions on any topic. It is hoped that the value of these "beginning" practice lists can be perceived so that more specific topical email discussion lists can be initiated in the future.
To initiate a discussion list, send a message and a topic to;
dthomas@pclink.com (David Thomas) or
dthomas@mail.harding.stpaul.k12.mn.us
Currently there are three "subscription only" discussion lists available at Harding:
Two "subscription" departmental discussion lists have been established for the Special Ed and Science Departments:
One "subscription" announcement list has been established for email users that wish to use a quick system for general announcements:
An official administration announcement list has been established for administrators to use a quick system for general announcements to email users (to send to this list, one must have access established by the system manager):
When traffic levels becomes high on these lists, it will be recommended that a convenient form for receiving these "discussions"
is in a "digest" form rather than individual separate message.
It it a bit more organized in your email IN box to have them all in one
place. The clutter from a "busy" list, using the separate messages
transfer, can discourage some people from participation. It is your choice
though. (See initial instructions on "how to set digest" or contact the list administrator.

This list is intended for all new Mac users to ask questions and exchange solutions about the using the Macintosh computer. No question is too "newbie" for this list. Some of you may have a very simple and personal solution, so no answer is too "newbie". Ask your questions and offer your solutions freely.
