Backgrounds, Colors and Fonts in Web Pages

Backgrounds (IMHO) and colors can add much fun to a web page but also can be a distraction and detract from a web page. There are so many possibilities that it becomes kind of like a "child in a candy store" and one may be tempted to try everything. Taste is a precious thing and for some people, taste has to be acquired. Just like with email and other electronic enhancements to life, because it "can be done" doesn't necessarily mean that it "should be done". This is the acquired attribute of "taste" which should be a "sought after" personality trait.
